Barbara J. Prasse grew up in the Virginia suburbs just outside of Washington, D.C. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1995. In 2000 she received her Juris Doctor, with honors, from George Mason University, Antonin Scalia Law  School, a first tier law school.  She began her legal career in the litigation practice section of a preeminent Washington, D.C. law firm. During this time she routinely practiced in state courts, federal courts and administrative tribunals in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia


Ms. Prasse was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2002, and relocated to Florida in 2003. She continued her litigation practice, but incorporated community association law into her practice.


Ms. Prasse is a member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar; Hillsborough County Bar Association.
